So long September!

Horray! My favorite month starts tomorrow!  Although the weather forecast has the first 10 days of October being nothing but rain here :( I'm still excited for October and pray this rain goes away so we can actually enjoy some fall weather! Right now it's been 77 degrees and muggy most of September.  I just hope it doesn't go straight from summer to winter. I love watching the leaves change in the fall!

In preparation for fall/Halloween, Hailey's outfit came in the mail! I'm so excited to have her wear it!  I tried to get her to put the cat ears headband on but she wasn't having it.  I was making her bottle and she had milk on her mind and was over my Halloween antics.

We haven't been doing much here! Week days are spent pretty much working and playing (with tissue paper apparently).  Excuse my mess of a house behind Hailey.  I clean it every weekend and it pretty much gets like this by Sunday night.

Any body else's baby STILL hate tummy time at 7 months? I put her on her stomach and within 1 minute she's flipping out.  Not sure what else to do to get her to like it!

My mother-in-law took this picture of Emmy and I just thought it was the cutest! Love her!

Hailey's Halloween outfit is all courtesy of the Gap of course! Links below :)

Weekend Recap

And just like that the end of the weekend is here.  I used to  get really sad on Sundays when the weekend was ending.  I used to think back on what fun things I did on the weekend and wish I could go back.  Now, I feel like my weekends are so hectic and it's the week days I look forward to.  Yes, I miss when Michael goes back to work but the weekends are also my time when he's home and it means I can run around like a chicken with my head cut off and get everything done that I can't do during the week when it's just me and Hailey.  Which leads to a very frazzled and stressful weekend trying to get everything done!

On Friday night we hung around and watched Halloween (the remake one that came out in 2007).  I guess the dogs got scared because they had to jump on the couch with us.

Saturday we ran some errands and did some things around the house.  We had a gift card to Olive Garden and decided we were in desperate need for a date night.  It's getting harder to take Hailey out to a restaurant.  She doesn't want to be stuck in her car seat any more and holding her means her grabbing everything within reach and yelling when she can't get to what she wants.  Also, she would very much enjoy shoving everything that's on our plates in our mouths and once again more shrieking when she doesn't get to eat when we do.  So we called good old Nana who wanted nothing more than to watch her sweet grandchild.

I was in love with her fall outfit so we had to do a photo shoot.

She loves looking at her crazy dogs

One thing we love doing on the weekends is going for family walks! It's a great way to start the morning :)

Although it may not look like it, Hailey has not been loving her stroller all of a sudden.  She lasts about 15 minutes in it before she gets really whiny and I'm not sure why!

Our Sunday was pretty low key.  Did house chores and watched the Eagles game.  Also, if any one was ever wondering if a corgi sheds.  This is what I got after 5 minutes from one dog (and it's the third time I brushed her this week).

Hope you all had a nice weekend!

Also, let's talk about how excited I am to start putting her in Halloween outfits. :)

Happy Fall!

Yay! So happy it is officially fall and it's actually beginning to finally feel like fall as well.  It's my favorite season! I love all the decorations, the cool temperatures, the sweatshirts, and of course the pumpkin spice coffee.

Now that the weather isn't so hot, I've been able to go on a ton of walks with the dogs and Hailey which always puts me in a good mood.  Hailey is at the age where she's getting sick of doing the same thing for more than 5 minutes so a walk is a nice 30 minute activity we can do that she actually enjoys.  Plus it's great for my Fit Bit ;)

The fresh air clearly makes her tired!

I was able to finish all of my hours for work early today so Michael's mom, cousin and I all went to this HUGE baby convention center!  I had no idea how big it was but it was full of so much stuff it was hard to not want to just buy everything.  I got hundreds of dollars worth of toys for just $40! As I said, Hailey is getting sick of everything within 5 minutes so I need to be able to change it up.  I only really got through the toys before I had to take Hailey outside.  She was NOT having a nap in the stroller and she was about an hour overdue.  She took a quick cat nap in the car which was just enough  of a refresher for us to go to lunch when she woke up.  We tried a new restaurant called The Pour House.  It was so good! Probably the best fries I've ever had.

Great start to the weekend! Now I just need to convince Michael to let me go to the craft store to get more fall decorations :)

Picture just because!

About Me!

Hi there! Welcome to my blog! My name is Mackenzie and I am wife to Michael and momma to my 6 month old baby girl, Hailey and my two fur babes Marvin and Emmy.

I am creating this blog in the hopes of saving memories that I can look back on in time and cherish forever.

A little about me:

I grew up and and currently live in Pennsylvania.  I have a degree in elementary and special education and a Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis (say that 5 times fast).  However, currently I do nothing of that nature and work from home editing patents.  I hope to get back to working with kids with special needs in the future but right now I just am glad to be able to have this time spending every day with my baby.

I met my husband Michael in my junior year of college (his senior year).  He was my first “real” boyfriend and my last! That sucker got stuck with me when he married me in July of 2013.  We were married for about a year when we found out our new little Mintzer would be joining us in March of 2015.  We were thrilled and a little blindsided but our miracle came on March 4, 2015 and every day since then has been a crazy rush of love and excitement.

Being a mom has been the hardest but most rewarding job I could have imagined.  I’m excited to be able to share this journey with anyone who wants to read about it!

Thanks for reading!
